I Will Guide You With My Eye

PROBLEM OF SIN IN LIFE

1. When we do not confess our sins

When I kept silent…   Psalm 32:3

2. Consequences

a) Ageing
My bones grew old   Psalm 32:3
b) Groaning
Groaning all day long   Psalm 32:3
c) God’s heavy hand
Day and night Your hand was heavy on me   Psalm 32:4
d) Vitality affected
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer   Psalm 32:4

PRAYING TO GOD

1. Confession of sin

I will confess my transgressions to the Lord   Psalm 32:5
I acknowledge my sin to You.   Psalm 32:5
My iniquity I have not hidden   Psalm 32:5

2. Cleansing of sin

And You forgave the iniquity of my sin   Psalm 32:5
The LORD does not impute iniquity   Psalm 32:2

PROMISE OF GOD

1. Instruction

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go   Psalm 32:8

2. Guidance

I will guide you with My eye   Psalm 32:8

3. Admonition

Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.   Psalm 32:9

PRACTICAL LIVING

1. Gladness in life

Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous, Shout for joy, all you upright.   Psalm 32:11

2. Confidence through trusting

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him.   Psalm 32:10
