OBSERVATIONS OF LIFE

The blessed

1. Transgression forgiven   (Psalm 32:1)

2. Sin covered   (Psalm 32:1)

3. The LORD does not impute iniquity   (Psalm 32:1)

4. In whose spirit there is no guile   (Psalm 32:1)

A TIME WHEN GOD WAS NOT THE GUIDE OF OUR LIFE

1. A very dry season

a) The drought of summer
b) Vitality is gone

2. The problem of sin was not addressed

a) I kept silent
b) My bones grew old
c) Groaning all the day long
d) God’s hand was heavy upon life   (Psalm 32:3-4)

DRIVEN TO CONFESS SIN

1. I acknowledged my sin to You

2. My iniquity I have not hidden

3. I will confess my transgressions to the LORD   (Psalm 32:5)

RESPONSE OF THE LORD

1. Forgiveness of sin   (Psalm 32:5)

2. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go   (Psalm 32:8)

3. I will guide you with My eye   (Psalm 32:8)

4. Do not be like the horse or like the mule   (Psalm 32:9)

a) No understanding
b) Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle
c) Else they will not come near you

VITAL HUMBLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE

1. The godly will pray   (Psalm 32:6)

2. The Lord is a hiding place   (Psalm 32:7)

3. The Lord will preserve from trouble   (Psalm 32:7)

4. The Lord will surround with songs of deliverance   (Psalm 32:7)

5. He who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him   (Psalm 32:10)

6. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice   (Psalm 32:11)

7. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked   (Psalm 32:10)
