1. Supernatural Manifestation

a) Protection

i) Pillar of cloud

ii) Pillar of fire

b) Provision

i) Manna ( Exodus 16:35 )

ii) Water ( Exodus 17:6 )

c) Deliverance

i) Deliverance from enemies ( Exodus 14 ) (Egyptians)

ii) Deliverance in battle ( Exodus 17:8-16 ) (Amalekites)

2. Creation

a) The heavenly bodies

“The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.”
Psalm 19:1

b) Daily blessings that are taken for granted

“Day unto day utters speech
And night unto night reveals knowledge.”
Psalm 19:2

3. Special Manifestation of the Messiah

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

a) The glory of the Word of God becoming flesh

b) The glory of the Incarnate Word dwelling among men

c) The glory of the only begotten of the Father

d) The glory associated with “grace and truth”

(II) PARTAKING OF THE GLORY OF CHRIST

“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
John 1:16-17

1. Partaking of the fullness of the grace of Christ

a) In Salvation

b) In Sanctification

c) In Strength to cope with every trial and tribulation of life

2. Receiving the fullness of truth Jesus taught

a) In contra-distinction to the law of Moses

b) In its own fullness of theology

(III) GIVING GLORY TO THE LORD

1. Through discernment of the Scriptures

2. Through enlightenment that comes from the Spirit of God

3. Through expressions that are appropriate
