THE ONE WHO FEARS THE LORD

In this Psalm, the psalmist, King David penned some vital lessons to note about the person who fears the Lord. He shared challenging and inspirational thoughts.

12 Who is the man that fears the LORD?

Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.

13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity,

And his descendants shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,

And He will show them His covenant.

15 My eyes are ever toward the LORD,

For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.     Psalm 25:12-15

 

  1. The special blessings given to the one who fears God

a) God will specially teach him

b) He will show him the way of God

c) He will bless materially too (prosperity)

d) The blessings will even extend to his descendants

e) The secret of the Lord

i)   It includes revelation

ii)  Protection

iii) Preservation

iv) God’s covenant blessings would be shown

  1. Appropriate response

a) Our eyes must be focused on the Lord

b) There must be faith in God’s deliverance

Let us learn to fear the Lord our God consistently. May the Lord grant grace and blessings!
