GOD REMEMBERS HIS HOLY PROMISE

THE PROMISES OF GOD

The Lord has given many precious promises to His people and they are all recorded in the Scriptures. The vital thing to note is that God will always remember His promises and that He would fulfil what He has promised!

42 For He remembered His holy promise,
And Abraham His servant.

43 He brought out His people with joy,
His chosen ones with gladness.

44 He gave them the lands of the Gentiles,
And they inherited the labour of the nations,

45 That they might observe His statutes
And keep His laws. Praise the LORD!     Psalm 105:42-45

  1. God promised Abraham a Promised Land

a) He remembered His holy promise

b) He faithfully honoured His promise

  1. What the Lord did to fulfil His promise

a) He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt 

b) He saw the people as “His chosen ones”

c) Their hearts were filled with joy and gladness 

  1. The land of the Gentiles

a) The earth belongs to the Lord

b) He gave the land of Canaan to His people

  1. The purpose 

a) That His people may observe His statues

b) That they may keep His laws

OUR CHALLENGE

  1. To believe in God and His promises
  1. To exercise trust that He would always fulfil His promise
  1. To offer praise to God for being so faithful and merciful to us!
