THE WORD IS VERY NEAR YOU

THE WORD THAT MOSES TAUGHT
Moses gave an appraisal with reference to the word that he had proclaimed and taught the children of Israel. What he said is very relevant to us too
11 “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. Deuteronomy 30:11-14
- What the commandment of God is NOT
a) It is not too mysterious
b) It is not far off
c) It is not in heaven
d) It is not beyond the sea
- Many make excuses concerning why they cannot heed God’s word
a) The above statements would be the answer to excuses
b) Many would not take the trouble to learn the word of the LORD
c) They just make many excuses!
- What the LORD’s word IS
a) It is near
b) It is in our mouth
c) It is in our heart
OUR CHALLENGE
Let us not make excuses to explain why we cannot heed God’s word! Let us determine to hide God’s word in our heart. The Word of God is the key to understanding how we can be blessed by the LORD!
