WILL HE REALLY FIND FAITH?

A CHALLENGE TO FIND GREAT FAITH
In the years the Lord Jesus ministered on earth, He did many things to help people cultivate their faith.
- The Word of God and Faith
a) The Lord knew how important it was to know the word of God
b) The Word will develop faith
c) Thus, He taught the Word of God
i) Extensively
ii) Intensively
- Boosts to Faith
He knew that people needed to have their faith boosted from time to time. Thus, He did the following things:
a) He performed many mighty miracles
b) He encouraged the people he healed
c) He did everything He could to boost faith
THE DIFFICULTY OF BUILDING FAITH
There were many things that hindered the development of faith.
- A barren and dark environment
- Hostile opponents
- The sinful human heart
- The stubbornness of the individual
These factors hindered the development of faith very much! Only on two occasions, did the Lord commend the faith found in the heart. There was the Roman centurion and there was the Syrophoenician woman.
WILL THE LORD FIND FAITH IN US WHEN HE RETURNS?
This was a cryptic comment the Lord Jesus made one day.
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes
Will He really find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8b
- This was an open-ended question
a) He did not provide an answer
b) The answer is to be provided by the believer
- Who is responsible for the growth of Faith?
a) We are responsible for the growth of our faith
b) We have to apply ourselves if we want to see our faith grow significantly
STEPS WE CAN TAKE
The following steps may be taken to cultivate our faith!
- Motivation
a) We need to find motivation
b) What would move us to cultivate Faith?
- Meditation
a) Meditate on the Lord and His Word
b) Let our Meditation be our prayers
i) To possess a significant faith
ii) To exercise our faith to the blessing of many hearts
