REMEMBER HIS MARVELOUS WORKS
Text: 1 Chronicles 16; Deuteronomy 4, 7-8

THE CALL TO “REMEMBER”
One of the problems that has affected us badly is that we do not take time to remember the Lord as we should. When we fail to practise “remembering” we place ourselves in danger.
THE DANGER OF FORGETTING
The danger was declared by Moses in the Book of Deuteronomy. It may be listed briefly thus:
- Forgetting God
a) His acts of mercy
b) His provision
c) His protection
- Creating idols for worship
a) This angers the Lord
b) This would result in enmity with the Lord
THINGS WORTH REMEMBERING
Two things were highlighted:
- Remember His marvelous works 1 Chronicles 16:12
a) Some of them are of historic significance
b) Others are of a more personal nature
c) But none of them should be forgotten
- Remember His covenant
a) God graciously gave to Abraham a wonderful covenant
b) He also gave to Israel a covenant when it came out of Egypt
c) A covenant should be consciously remembered
THE WONDERFUL THINGS GOD HAS DONE
Many are the wonderful things God has done for us at Bethany in 2019. Let us determine never to forget His wonderful blessings! Let us conclude 2019 recalling the blessings of the Lord!
