HE HAS DONE MARVELOUS THINGS

MARVELOUS THINGS
The celebration of Church Anniversaries in September-October gives us an opportunity to reflect on the marvelous things that God has done!
1. Bethel IPC
a) Bethel celebrated its 20th Anniversary in September 2014
b) We celebrate the faith of our brethren
c) The church is growing steadily
2. Bethany IPC
a) We celebrated out 40+1 Anniversary in September 2014
b) We celebrate the rising up of another generation of people who love the Lord
c) We see such strength and potential in the next generation
3. Sathiyam IPC
a) Sathiyam celebrates its Silver Jubilee
b) The church has grown significantly
c) IPC India has grown wonderfully in the past 25 years
These are all “marvelous things” that God has done! We acknowledge the Lord’s grace and mercy. We give all glory to God!
BIBLICALLY-STATED WORKS OF GOD
The Psalmist was correct to list some very important works that God had done for His people in Psalm 98. Three things may be highlighted:-
1. The victories that He wrought for His people Psalm 98:1
2. The deliverance He gave to His people Psalm 98:2
3. He has given glorious mercy Psalm 98:3
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
Let us consider appropriate response suggested by the Psalmist.
1. To sing to the Lord a new song Psalm 98:1
2. To shout joyfully to the Lord Psalm 98:4
3. To call upon all creation to rejoice in the Lord in worship Psalm 98:4-9
Let us ever worship our great and wonderful God who continues to do marvelous things for us! May we worship the Lord with fullness of joy!
