DIFFERENT BLESSINGS PROMISED
Many were the promises of blessings God gave to His people. Some related to the physical-material aspect of life. Some were deeply profound. These were often located in the spiritual realm.
AN AWESOME PROFOUND PROMISE
One of the most awesome promises God made may be found here.
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring. Isaiah 44:3
1. The promise of Water
a) Water will be given to the thirsty
b) Floods on dry ground
c) This is a wonderful promise to those who live in arid regions
2. The Symbolic Significance
a) Water is one of the emblems of the Holy Spirit
b) It well signifies His ministry
3. The Profound Promise
a) The outpouring of the Spirit of God
b) This will be a most significant blessing
4. The recipients
a) The children of Israel
b) The descendants of the children of Israel
APPRECIATING THIS PROMISE IN THE LIGHT OF THE NEW TESTAMENT
The Lord Jesus was the One who spoke about the special ministry of the Holy Spirit.

a) With reference to life
b) With reference to ministry
THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
He is a great promise that we must learn to treasure deeply! Let us learn how to relate to the Spirit of God. Let us seek to be filled with His power!
