“Command those who are rich in this present age…” 1 Timothy 6:17

2. Pride in ourselves

“Not to be haughty,” 1 Timothy 6:17

3. Placing our trust in our wealth

“Nor to trust in uncertain riches” 1 Timothy 6:17

(II) COMPREHENDING TRUST

“…trust…in the living God,”” 1 Timothy 6:17

“For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:10

(III) CENTERING OUR TRUST IN THE LIVING GOD

“But in the living God,” 1 Timothy 6:17

“Which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:15-16

“Who gives us richly all things to enjoy.” 1 Timothy 6:17
