THE PROBLEM OF BEING TROUBLED

“Let not your heart be troubled;…”   John 14:1

1. The problem of uncertainty

“Lord, we do not know where You are going and how can we know the way?”   John 14:5

JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE

1. The Lord Jesus is the way

“I am the way,…”   John 14:6
a. The way to heaven is a person
b. The way is through the Lord Jesus

2. The Lord Jesus is the truth

“I am the way, the truth….”   John 14:6
a. He is embodiment of the truths that He had taught
b. He applies the truth in His life

3. The Lord Jesus is the life

“I am the way, the truth and the life.”   John 14:6
a. He is the source of life
b. He is the giver of life
i. Abundant life
ii. Eternal life in heaven

THE CHALLENGE TO BELIEVE IN THE LORD

1. Stop being troubled

“Let not your heart be troubled;…”   John 14:1

2. Believe in the Lord Jesus and all that He stands for

“You believe in God, believe also in Me…”   John 14:1
