"For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua"

Text: Zechariah 3:9

THE RE-BUILDING OF THE TEMPLE

Joshua the high priest would certainly be involved in the rebuilding of the Temple. There were many challenges to be overcome. Every word of encouragement was needed to strengthen the resolve of the builders.

“‘For behold, the stone
That I have laid before Joshua:
Upon the stone are seven eyes.
Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’
Says the LORD of hosts,
‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.'”
Zechariah 3:9

3. “Behold, I will engrave its inscription”

a) The LORD would also look into the matter of inscription on the stone.
b) It was the LORD Himself who wrote the Ten Commandments and then gave the stone tablets to Moses.

d) This was another word of encouragement for Joshua.
