THE WONDERFUL DOCTRINE OF SALVATION

The doctrine of salvation is wonderfully rich! Let us recall the many wonderful statements of truth made thus far:-

1. We are justified

a) We are declared righteous in the sight of God.
b) We have imputed righteousness from God (Cf. Romans 4:23-24).

2. We have access to God

a) We have peace with God (Romans 5:1).
b) We have access to the very presence of God (Romans 5:2).

3. We have the Holy Spirit given to us (Romans 5:5)

a) He is our seal (Cf. Ephesians 1:13).
b) He is our Guarantee (Cf. Ephesians 1:14).

4. We have a glorious hope in Christ (Romans 5:2-4)

a) This is a most certain hope.
b) We may look forward with great confidence to seeing the glory of God.

5. We have God’s love (Romans 5:5,8)

a) That magnificent love has been wonderfully displayed.
b) The Spirit of God manifests His love in our hearts.

6. We have been saved from the wrath of God (Romans 5:9)

FULL RECONCILIATION

Paul added another wonderful aspect to the doctrine of salvation.

“For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled
to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been
reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”

Romans 5:10

Let us stand in awe of this wondrous doctrine of salvation!
