Gracious Appearances

Text: John 20: 26 - 27

GRACIOUS APPEARANCES

The Lord Jesus was truly kind and gracious to all His disciples. He loved them to the end.

1. To the weeping and inconsolable Mary Magdalene
He made special appearance.

2. To the fearful disciples who were meeting behind shut doors
He spoke to them and gave them a special experience of the empowering of the Holy Spirit.

ANOTHER SPECIAL AND GRACIOUS APPEARANCE

The Lord Jesus knew the heart and mind of Thomas. His fellow-disciples would never be able to convince him no matter how they tried.

“And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, ‘Peace to you!’ Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.’”

5. “And reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

a. Thomas’ conditions were being graciously met by the Lord Jesus Christ.
