God Speaking To Mankind
Text: Hebrews 1:1-2
“God, who at various times and in various ways
spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,
whom He has appointed heir of all things,
through whom also He made the worlds.”Hebrews 1:1-2
GOD SPEAKING TO MANKIND
This is a wonderful truth that not many people understand and appreciate! How awesome to know that God has been speaking to man through the ages!
1. God has spoken
a. “At various times”
i. In the days of Noah.
ii. In the days of Abraham.
iii. In the days of Moses.
b. “In various ways”
i. Through special dreams.
ii. Through holy visions revealing future events.
c. “By the prophets”
i. Some prophets performed miracles.
ii. Some prophets preached messages they received from God.
iii. Some prophets wrote books.
2. God has spoken to Mankind through the Lord Jesus Christ
a. He is the Specially Anointed One (“The Messiah”).
b. He is God’s special Heir of all things.
c. He was Co-Creator with God.
SOME WONDERFUL DESCRIPTIONS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
These are some of the glorious truths the Lord Jesus revealed about Himself.
1. The Bread of Life
“I am the Bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger,
and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”John 6:35
2. The Good Shepherd
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
John 10:11
3. The Way
“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”John 14:6
