2. He was a very gifted Apostle:
a. He was an evangelist.
b. A pastor.
c. A missionary.
d. A founder of churches.
e. An astute teacher.
f. A defender of the faith.
g. A propound writer.
THE EPISTLE TO THE COLOSSIANS
1. A church was founded in Colossae, Phrygia (modern day, Turkey).
2. The founder of the Church was Epaphras.
3. He was a friend and fellow-labourer of the Apostle Paul.
4. The Colossian Church encountered problems from false teachers.
5. Wisely, Epaphras turned to the Apostle Paul for help.
6. Paul wrote a masterful epistle called Colossians.
ONE SPECIAL DOCTRINE FOUND IN COLOSSIANS
1. There are many wonderful doctrines found in the Colossians.
2. One of the most precious doctrines in Colossians centres in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. This is called “Christology”.
4. Christianity revolves around the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
