MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – CHRISTOLOGY

Colossians 4:5-6
PAUL’S EXAMPLE OF FAITH AND LIFE

THREE APPROPRIATE REMINDERS
1. Paul was coming to the end of his epistle to the Colossians.
2. There were three things that he sought to highlight to them.
3. If followed carefully, they would stand out as believers.
a. Wisdom
i. This must first be found.
ii. It must be applied in living for the Lord meaningfully.
iii. Wisdom must accompany our faith in the Lord.
b. Time
i. Time is a precious gift from the Lord.
ii. It must be used redemptively.
iii. Time must be made used of fully and meaningfully.
iv. Time should not be wasted.
c. Speech
i. The believer is encouraged to learn how to speak well.
ii. Speaking with grace (kindness and gentleness) is vital.
iii. Speaking with salt (truth is of the essence..
iv. Good speech is needed to answer people who query our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
These three things can be learned well.
