Text: Luke 17: 3-4
THE PRACTICE OF FORGIVENESS
1. It is easy enough to forgive sins that are not grievous.
2. It is a little harder to forgive sins that are grave.
3. It is even harder to forgive sins that are committed repeatedly.
4. The Lord Jesus sought to teach His disciples how to be truly forgiving.
DEALING WITH THE PROBLEM OF SIN
“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Luke 17:3-4
1. “Take heed to yourselves”
a. We need to be on guard.
b. The matter of sinning and forgiveness is a problem that would come up again and again.
2. If a brother sins:
a. He is to be rebuked.
b. This is to be done before forgiveness is extended.
3. If a brother repents:
a. If he truly repents,
b. He is to be forgiven.
4. If he repeats his sin seven times in a day.
a. He is to be rebuked even times too.
b. If he repents, he is to be forgiven each time.
5. The credibility of the sinner.
a. This may be in doubt.
b. Nevertheless, forgiveness must be exercised!
c. This is not an easy thing to be practised.Yet it must be done!

实践饶恕
1. 如果罪不是太严重，饶恕犯罪的人就很容易
2. 如果罪很严重，饶恕犯罪的人就会比较困难
3. 如果罪是反复地犯，饶恕那犯罪的人会更加困难
4. 主耶稣教导祂的门徒如何真心地饶恕人
罪恶的问题
“你们要谨慎！若是你的弟兄得罪你，就劝诫他。他若懊悔，就饶恕他。倘若他一天七次得罪你，又七次回转，说：‘我懊悔了’，你总要饶恕他。”
