Text: Genesis 49: 25-26
MEDITATION
Genesis 49:25-26
25 By the God of your father who will help you,
And by the Almighty who will bless you
With blessings of heaven above,
Blessings of the deep that lies beneath,
Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
26 The blessings of your father
Have excelled the blessings of my ancestors,
Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills.
They shall be on the head of Joseph,
And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. A prayer of blessing
God was further described;
a. As the God of Jacob.
b. As God Almighty.
2. Content of Prayer
a. Blessings from Heaven.
b. Blessings from the earth.
c. Blessings of a good marriage and children.
d. Blessings from Jacob.
3. An appreciation of God’s blessings
a. The blessings upon Joseph had already exceeded that of his forefathers.
b. They will continue to the boundaries of the mighty and lasting hills.
4. Certainty of blessings
a. These blessings would come upon Joseph.
b. These blessings would be on his head.
5. Joseph separate and distinct from his brothers
This was obvious to Jacob, and he was not afraid to voice what he believed in.

25你父亲的神必帮助你，那全能者必将天上所有的福、地里所藏的福，以及生产乳养的福，都赐给你。26你父亲所祝的福，胜过我祖先所祝的福，如永世的山岭，至极的边界。这些福必降在约瑟的头上，临到那与弟兄迥别之人的顶上。
