Text: Genesis 24: 15-18
MEDITATION
Genesis 24:15-18
15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with her pitcher on her shoulder.
16 Now the young woman was very beautiful to behold, a virgin; no man had known her. And she went down to the well, filled her pitcher, and came up. 17 And the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please let me drink a little water from your pitcher.”
18 So she said, “Drink, my lord.” Then she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. A refreshing experience
a. Even before the chief steward had completed his prayer.b. Rebekah came onto the scene, bearing a pitcher.
i. She was the daughter of Bethuel, son of Milcah.
ii. Milcah was named as the wife of Nahor, a brother of Abraham.
2. Brief description of Rebekah
a. She was a young woman.
b. She was beautiful.
c. She was a virgin.
3. The chief steward went up to Rebekah and asked for a drink of water
a. Rebekah replied kindly.
b. She was polite and humble in her manner of speaking.
c. She addressed the chief steward as, “my lord”.
4. This experience was in line with the prayer of the chief steward
It seemed as if the first part of his prayer was swiftly and wonderfully answered!

《创世记 24：15-18》
15 话还没有说完，不料，利百加肩头上扛着水瓶出来。利百加是彼土利所生的，彼土利是亚伯拉罕兄弟拿鹤妻子密迦的儿子。
16 那女子容貌极其俊美，还是处女，也未曾有人亲近她。她下到井旁，打满了瓶，又上来。
17 仆人跑上前去迎着她，说：“求你将瓶里的水给我一点喝。”18 女子说：“我主请喝。”就急忙拿下瓶来，托在手上给他喝。
