Text: Exodus 35: 4-9
MEDITATION
Exodus 35:4-9
4 And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying:
5 ‘Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;
6 blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair;
7 ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood;
8 oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense;
9 onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. This word was for all the congregation
a. The elders
b. The priests/ Levites
c. All who made up Israel.
2. This message was a Command
a. It was not a suggestion.
b. It was a responsibility that all must fulfill.
c. It is a command to give to the building of the Tabernacle.
d. But though it is a command, each gift must come from a willing heart.
e. Each gift is to be seen as a gift to the LORD Himself.
3. A List of things
a. The earlier chapters explained how the Tabernacle was to be constructed.
b. This is like an Inventory List.
4. How it works
a. All would have to check what they can give to the Lord.
b. Some families would have things they can give.
c. Not all families would have the same articles to contribute.
d. This Inventory List would eliminate unwanted things.
e. It would prove to be a helpful guideline as to what was needed for the Tabernacle.

5你们中间要拿礼物献给耶和华,凡乐意献的,可以拿耶和华的礼物来,就是金,银,铜,
6蓝色、紫色、朱红色线,细麻,山羊毛,
7染红的公羊皮,海狗皮,皂荚木,
8点灯的油,并做膏油和香的香料,9红玛瑙与别样的宝石,可以镶嵌在以弗得和胸牌上。
