MEDITATION
Exodus 29:35-37
35 “Thus you shall do to Aaron and his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Seven days you shall consecrate them.
36 And you shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it.
37 Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Seven days of consecration
a. The number “seven” was considered a perfect number.
b. It was meant to express:
i. Thoroughness
ii. Completeness
2. Sin offering as atonement
a. Consecration offerings:
i. One bull
ii. Two rams
b. Atonement for sin offerings.
i. One bull to be offered a day.
ii. Seven bulls would be offered as an atonement for sins.
c. The Altar
i. The altar is to be cleansed each time.
ii. It is then anointed with blood.
iii. It is then consecrated.
iv. This would take place with the consecration of the priests.
3. Important lessons
a. Sins must not be taken lightly.
b. Sins must be atoned for.
c. The ministry of the Lord is sacred (holy).
d. All serving God must seek to serve with holiness in mind.
e. The Lord is a most holy God.

36每天要献公牛一只为赎罪祭。你洁净坛的时候,坛就洁净了,且要用膏抹坛,使坛成圣。37要洁净坛七天,使坛成圣,坛就成为至圣。凡挨着坛的都成为圣。
