MEDITATION
Exodus 10:12-15
12 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land—all that the hail has left.”
13 So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night. When it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested on all the territory of Egypt. They were very severe; previously there had been no such locusts as they, nor shall there be such after them.
15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they ate every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. So there remained nothing green on the trees or on the plants of the field throughout all the land of Egypt.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Instructions from the LORD to Moses
a. He was to stretch out his hand over the land of Egypt.
b. The swarm of locusts would come upon the land.
c. The locusts would devour what was not destroyed by the hailstorm.
2. The obedience of Moses
a. He stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt.
b. The LORD sent an east wind on the land.
c. The wind blew over the land day and night.
3. The great swarm of locusts
a. They came onto the land of Egypt.
b. They rested on the land.
c. This plague was very severe.
4. A brief description of the plague of locusts
a. The land was darkened. They blocked sun like an eclipse.
b. The hungry locusts devoured everything in sight.
c. The trees, the vegetable plants, the fruit trees were all consumed.
d. There was nothing green left! This was forewarned but this word was ignored by the Pharaoh!

沉思
《出埃及记 10：12-15》
12 耶和华对摩西说：“你向埃及地伸杖，使蝗虫到埃及地上来，吃地上一切的菜蔬，就是冰雹所剩的。”
13 摩西就向埃及地伸杖，那一昼一夜，耶和华使东风刮在埃及地上，到了早晨，东风把蝗虫刮了来。
14 蝗虫上来，落在埃及的四境，甚是厉害，以前没有这样的，以后也必没有。15 因为这蝗虫遮满地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬和冰雹所剩树上的果子。埃及遍地，无论是树木，是田间的菜蔬，连一点青的也没有留下。
