"Keep yourselves in the love of God..."

Text: Jude 21

IN CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH

It is right that we should contend for the faith. But therein danger may be found. Let us ponder this wise admonition from Jude.

“Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

Jude 21

c) We may become fault-finding.
d) We may become self-righteous.
e) We may become obnoxiously intolerant of people.
f) We may become incapable of practising the love of the Lord.
g) We may become unmerciful in our life.

2. “Keep yourselves in the love of God”

a) This is solid and sound advice.
b) The love of God must ever fill our hearts.
c) We must not fail to practise what Jesus commanded His disciples.

ii) We need to keep ourselves in the love of God.
iii) The world must be able to identify us as followers of Christ because of His love evidenced in our life.

3. “Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life”
