Isaiah
Day
Day 21

"The LORD alone will be exalted in that day"

Text: Isaiah 2:17

THE EXALTATION OF MAN

This is the deep fundamental problem. Mankind has exalted itself over all living creatures. The right and the mighty have exalted themselves over those who are poor and weak. This problem has always existed in the history of mankind.

THE EXALTATION OF THE LORD

The only Person who deserves to be exalted is the LORD of hosts! His exaltation is simply due to the fact that He is God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth!

“The loftiness of man shall be bowed down,
And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low;
The LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
But the idols He shall utterly abolish.
They shall go into the holes of the rocks,
And into the caves of the earth,
From the terror of the LORD
And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.”
Isaiah 2:17-19
