"The gospel for the uncircumcised..."

Text: Galatians 2:7a

RECOGNITION FROM THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS OF JERUSALEM

The apostles in Jerusalem had been personally trained by the Lord Jesus Christ. They had also matured further through experience in ministry. Peter himself had a personal experience with reference to ministry to the Gentiles. As they listened to Paul and Barnabas they came to a good and correct conclusion.

But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel
for the uncircumcised had been committed to me,
as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter
(for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship
to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward
the Gentiles).
