Day 358

"As a very lovely song"

Text: Ezekiel 33:32

UNFRUITFUL HEARING OF GOD’S WORD

The people in Babylon were those who were exiled from Judah in the earlier invasions. There were two other attacks before Judah finally came to an end as a nation. Those who were exiled to Babylon made up the congregation that gathered to hear what Ezekiel shared.

“Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song
of one who has a pleasant voice
and can play well on an instrument;
for they hear your words, but they do not do them.
And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—
then they will know
that a prophet has been among them.”
Ezekiel 33:32-33
