Day 310

"I will bring a sword upon you"

Text: Ezekiel 29:8

WAR WOULD COME TO EGYPT

War was not unknown to Egypt. The land had seen war again and again. There were internal wars where factions fought for control of Egypt. There were wars with foreign nations. Egypt was a powerful nation in the region. Many smaller nations had to pay tributes to Egypt. Thus, Egypt became prideful in its ways!

“Therefore thus says the Lord God:
‘Surely I will bring a sword upon you and cut off from you man and beast.
And the land of Egypt shall become desolate and waste;
then they will know that I am the Lord, because he said,
‘The River is mine, and I have made it.””
