"Set your face toward Sidon"

Text: Ezekiel 28:21

THE CITY OF SIDON

Tyre and Sidon were usually mentioned together. Once upon a time, Sidon was an important city, as in the days of Joshua. It was another Phoenecian city. But Tyre was the dominant city even though Sidon was also mentioned in this word from God.

“Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
‘Son of man, set your face toward Sidon,
and prophesy against her, and say,
‘Thus says the Lord God:
‘Behold, I am against you, O Sidon;
I will be glorified in your midst;
And they shall know that I am the Lord,
When I execute judgments in her and am hallowed in her.”'”
