c) That He was the Lord and He is to be obeyed carefully!

2. Lessons about Faith

a) That it is closely related to knowledge of God
b) That it must be exercised in order to overcome doubts
c) That faith must be evidenced in obedience!

3. Lessons about Ministry

a) That God Himself determines the area of service
b) That He will be present with His servant
c) That He will specially equip and empower His servant for effective ministry

RE-UNION WITH AARON

Moses had not seen his brother for four decades! How wonderful it was to see each other again!

“And the Lord said to Aaron, ‘Go into the wilderness to meet
Moses.’ So he went and met him on the mountain of God, and
kissed him. So Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who
had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.”
EXODUS 4:27-28

Deeply encouraged through fellowship, the two brothers gathered the elders of the children of Israel together.

MEETING WITH THE ELDERS OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

The elders of the children gathered together to hear what Moses had to say to them. Together Aaron and Moses shared about their faith in the Lord.

“Then he did the signs in the sight of the people.
So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord
had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on
their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.”
EXODUS 4:30B-31

The fears of Moses that the children of Israel would reject him were allayed! There was gratitude and gladness as faith in God was renewed!
