"Set your mind on things above..."

Text: Colossians 3:2

TAKING OUR FAITH SERIOUSLY

The apostle Paul certainly took his faith seriously. It was natural and logical to him to want to cultivate his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He grew significantly and had a life that bore much fruit!

“Set your mind on things above, not on things on
the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with

Christ in God.”

Colossians 3:2-3

a) This was written in the imperative mode.
b) God wants us to take our faith seriously.
c) It involves the way we think.

2. The choice we must make

a) To think on things above.
b) To think on things on the earth.
c) The former must be chosen.

iv) Our life has been hidden in Christ ever since we came to faith in Him.
c) How may we discover the potential of our life?
i) Through setting our minds on things above.
ii) God will reveal how we should live.
