"Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit..."

Text: Luke 4:14

COMPLETION OF THE 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS

The sojourn in the wilderness had come to an end. Jesus had triumphed over the Evil One. He had devoted Himself to fully comprehending and fulfilling His destiny- to obtain eternal redemption for man!

“Now when the devil had ended every temptation,
he departed from Him until an opportune time.
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee,
and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.
And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.”
Luke 4:13-15

THE CHALLENGE FOR US TODAY

Let us be deeply challenged and impacted by the life of the Lord Jesus Christ! Let us seriously consider the call of the Lord Jesus; “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Let the work of the Lord Jesus and the tremendous sacrifice He made to give us eternal redemption move our hearts to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.
