"If we walk in the light as He is in the light..."
Text: 1 John 1:7
ANOTHER FALSE CLAIM
The apostle John dealt with another claim by false teachers in this text.
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

1. Another strong claim
a) Of walking in the light.
b) As God is in the light.
2. Did John believe in this claim?
a) John continued to use the Second Class Condition in his consideration.
b) He writes hypothetically.
c) He doubts the veracity of this claim.
3. As God is in the light
a) It is a huge claim to walk in the light as God is in the light.
b) John teaches us how to carefully evaluate such claims.
4. Things to consider carefully in our evaluation
a) The claim to walk in the light.
b) The claim of fellowship with one another.
c) The claim of understanding and the application of the blood of Christ in our life.
5. John’s personal view is expressed:-
