3. Specific instruction

a) The Passover lamb

i) For one household (Exodus 12:3-4)

ii) For two households (joint) (Exodus 12:3-4)

b) Selection

i) Without blemish (Exodus 12:5)

ii) A male of the first year (Exodus 12:5)

iii) Sheep/Goat (Exodus 12:5)

c) Killing of the Passover Lamb

i) On 14th of the First Month (Exodus 12:6)

ii) At twilight (Exodus 12:6)

d) Sprinkling of the blood of the lamb

i) On doorposts (Exodus 12:7)

ii) On lintel (Exodus 12:7)

e) Cooking of the lamb/goat

i) Roasted by fire (Exodus 12:8)

ii) Not to be boiled (Exodus 12:9)

f) Consumption of the lamb/goat

i) With Unleavened bread (Exodus 12:8)

ii) With Bitter herbs (Exodus 12:8

iii) Not to be eaten raw (Exodus 12:9)

g) No Leftovers

i) What is not consumed is to be burnt

ii) None to be kept as leftovers (Exodus 12:10)

h) Attire while consuming the lamb/goat

i) With belt on waist

ii) With sandals on feet

iii) Staff in hand

iv) Eating in haste (Exodus 12:11)

a) All the firstborn will be struck dead (Exodus 12:12)

b) Also against the all the gods of Egypt (Exodus 12:12)
