THE LAND OF ISRAEL

2. Salt
3. Burning
4. It is not sown (cultivated)
5. It does not bear
6. Not even grass will grow there
7. Land compared to the cities God overthrew in His anger and wrath

1. Questions raised by Gentile nations
a) Why has the LORD done so to this land? (Deuteronomy 29:24a)
b) What does the heat of this great anger mean? (Deuteronomy 29:24b)
2. The answer that would be given
a) Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers (Deuteronomy 29:25a)
b) Which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt (Deuteronomy 29:25b)
c) They went to serve other gods and worshiped them (Deuteronomy 29:26a)
d) Gods that they did not know (Deuteronomy 29:26b)
e) The LORD did not give them these “gods” (Deuteronomy 29:26c)
THE ANGER OF THE LORD
