At Harvest Time - Grain

Text: Deuteronomy 24:19-22
12 March 2019

AT HARVEST TIME- GRAIN

1. Forgetting a sheaf in the field

a) Grains are put into sheaves
b) They are collected later
c) But if a sheaf is forgotten
d) It is to be left behind   (Deuteronomy 24:19)

2. It will be for

a) The stranger
b) The fatherless (children)
c) The widow   (Deuteronomy 24:19)

3. The Lord’s blessing

a) This will be given to those who remember the poor   (Deuteronomy 24:19)
b) Psalm 41:1-3

AT HARVEST TIME- OLIVES

1. Olive Trees

a) Harvesting done by beating the branches   (Deuteronomy 24:20)
b) Cannot beat till every olive comes down

2. The Olives that remain

a) For the stranger
b) For the fatherless (children)
c) For the widow   (Deuteronomy 24:20)

AT HARVEST TIME- GRAPES

1. Gathering of grapes from the vineyard

2. Cannot glean afterward

3. What is left behind would be for

a) The stranger
b) The fatherless (children)
c) The widow   (Deuteronomy 24:21)

TO REMEMBER ALWAYS

1. The past

2. A slave in the land of Egypt   (Deuteronomy 24:22)

3. A commandment from the LORD

Therefore I command you to do this thing   (Deuteronomy 24:22)
