(I) GOD REVEALS MORE OF HIS PLANS

1. Now you shall see what I shall do to Pharaoh (Exodus 6:1)

2. Assurance given

a) He will let the children of Israel go (Exodus 6:1)

b) He will in fact drive them out of Egypt (Exodus 6:1)

c) “With a strong hand” (Exodus 6:1)

(II) REITERATING AND ESTABLISHING FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS

1. I am the LORD (Exodus 6:2)


2. Appearance (revelation) as God Almighty (El Shaddai Genesis 17:1) (Exodus 6:3)

a) Abraham

b) Isaac

c) Jacob

3. By the name LORD (YHWH)

I was not known to them (Exodus 6:3)

4. Covenant Established

a) Canaan would be given to them (Exodus 6:4)

b) Covenant remembered (Exodus 6:5)

5. By the name LORD

a) I am the LORD (Exodus 6:6)

Invoking of God’s name

b) I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel (Exodus 6:5)

c) I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians (Exodus 6:6)

d) I will rescue you from their bondage (Exodus 6:6)

e) I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments (Exodus 6:6)

f) I will take you as My people (Exodus 6:7)

g) And I will be Your God (Exodus 6:7)

h) I will bring you into the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Exodus 6:8)

i) I will give it to you as a heritage

6. Then you shall know

a) That the LORD is indeed God

b) The God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians (Exodus 6:7)

(III) MESSAGE NOT HEEDED

1. Moses spoke these words to the children of Israel (Exodus 6:9)


2. However they did not heed this message


3. Reasons:

a) Anguish of spirit

b) Cruel bondage (Exodus 6:9)
