MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER
Deep grief can hurt very deeply;
The heart is torn and tears flow freely.
No words can bring the needed relief;
The soul is wounded beyond belief.
The Lord knows the grief that we feel;
The pain seems interminable and real.
He reaches out to us, calling us by name;
It is not wrong to feel weak, there is no shame.
The Lord Jesus spoke of God being our Father;
He Himself has related to Him like no other.
The Father will be there to give strength and hope;
The Risen Saviour is the Proof that we can cope!
Let not grief destroy life’s foundations;
Our faith in God offers full redemption.
Joy will be the true strength of our Life;
With faith in God we can overcome strife!
