IT IS THE LORD
The discouraged Disciples returned to fishing;
They knew that their faith and courage were appalling.
They had been loved and taught by the Lord Jesus;
He was their great Teacher and Giver of righteousness.
The Disciples had all pledged allegiance to the Lord;
They declared that they had a strong faith in God.
But all had failed to live up to the expectations;
They deserve nothing but scorn and condemnation.
The Disciples toiled all night to catch some fish;
They worked hard but caught nothing to relish.
By the seashore a Man called out to the fishermen;
Who was He? He looked familiar, this Gentleman!
John recognised the Lord Jesus immediately;
He cried out, “It is the Lord” excitedly.
Peter swam to the seashore to see their Master;
The Lord had come in love as their Risen Saviour!
