RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND
Living in a sinful world makes us weary;
It is difficult to practise being holy!
Tiredness weighs in and we become weak;
Spiritual Renewal is what we must seek!
Renewal is to be found in the teachings of the Lord;
Mere human reasoning will not lead us to a holy God!
The Spirit of God must do this work of sanctification;
Only He can bring about a true and deep transformation.
The human nature needs to be dealt with effectively;
It will grow more and more corrupt, progressively.
The Lord has already given us a regenerated nature;
The word of Truth must do its part to nurture.
Renewal is much more than an emotional feeling;
It is a special work of God and a precious blessing.
Let us seek spiritual renewal again and again;
Let our renewed spirit express itself in joyous refrains!
