THE WELLS OF SALVATION
The imagery of Wells was applied to Salvation;
It is a beautiful symbol of great jubilation.
Wells were prized by all who were travelers;
It was life or death for all desert wayfarers.
Wells were the heart and centre of village life;
Without a good supply of water, life would be rife.
Where water was sufficient it brought happiness;
Without water, life would be positively ruinous.
God is the Giver of the Wells of Salvation;
He is not filled with anger or consternation.
Anyone may come and draw water freely;
All may come, even those who are poor and needy.
Let joy fill our hearts as we draw life-giving water;
We need not feel far, nor do we need to falter.
Let us with joy draw from the Wells of Salvation;
The plan of God’s Salvation is worthy of meditation.
