NO CONDEMNATION

A GLORIOUS TRUTH 

We have a glorious truth that is well-taught by the Apostle Paul in Romans 8. One of the most uplifting features is that we need not fear condemnation because of the Lord Jesus Christ!

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 

4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.     Romans 8:1-4

  1. No condemnation need be feared

Four forms of condemnation may be noted!

a) Condemnation from the law

b) Accusation from Satan

c) Self-condemnation

d) Condemnation from critics

  1. The law of the Spirit of life

a) We have been freed from the Law 

b) We have the Holy Spirit of life in us

c) The Lord Jesus condemned sin when He died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins

OUR CHALLENGE

Let us consider how we may apply our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in real life!

  1. To live for the Lord our Saviour
  1. To find strength through the Spirit to live victoriously
  1. To live joyously in the grace of God
