Dear Parents,

FRESH APPRECIATION OF THE FAMILY
There are many challenges in life. There are so many people with all kinds of difficulties. Blessed are the people who have a strong and supportive family.

BEYOND THE FAMILY
Sadly, there are many who do not belong to good and stable families. Many struggle in life. Sometimes, the struggles can become very, very heavy. Do we have a sense of responsibility towards those who are less fortunate? Let us consider the following text.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

Proverbs 24:11

1. There are some “drawn toward death”

There are so many reasons why people are drawn to things that will lead them to their death.

a) Dangerous deceit

b) Deadly sin

2. There are those “stumbling to the slaughter”

a) Ignorance

b) Folly

3. Call to “deliver those” who would head for certain death

a) The wise must reach out to the foolish.

b) The faithful must reach out to the unfaithful.

4. Call to “hold back” those who are “stumbling to the slaughter”

a) The strong must help the weak.

b) The obedient must help the disobedient.

Let all strong families reach out to weaker ones, and save them from destruction.
