THIS IS MY BELOVED SON
Different people were involved in the Divine Plan;
Mary and Joseph were chosen; an angel was sent.
They were told that Mary would bring forth a Son;
They had to exercise their faith till all was done!
John the forerunner had a mighty ministry;
He was to prepare the way for His majesty!
His words melted hearts; they were very strong;
And many were drawn to his baptism ere long.
To the River Jordan Jesus of Nazareth came one day;
John was astonished; he heard Jesus with dismay!
How could he baptise Jesus who was the Lamb of God?
But this was to fulfil all righteousness- the will of the Lord!
Then John heard a glorious Voice, full of power and majesty;
“This is My beloved Son!” A memory that would last for eternity!
The Son of God had come to fulfil the Divine Plan of Salvation,
Jesus is Emmanuel; we have every reason for joyous celebration!
