THE LORD WHO HAS GIVEN ME COUNSEL
When people heard the Lord Jesus Christ speak,
His words had great impact, they were not weak!
They noted that He spoke with great authority;
They wondered at the power and the clarity!
Jesus spoke of His Father who was always close;
Jesus loved His Father; On the LORD He reposed!
He was ever in the bosom of His Father, the LORD;
There was no one closer; He was One with God!
Jesus sought His Father’s Presence with His soul;
He listened to the Counsel; His heart was not cold.
His wisdom became obvious, there was Power;
The Father guided Him, and was close every hour!
Jesus blessed His Father who gave Him the Word;
To rely on mere human knowledge was absurd!
The Lord continues to speak to His people today;
How we must yearn to seek Him without delay!
