ABIDE IN MY LOVE
“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you”
Precious are these words of Jesus and they are true!
To be loved so dearly is an amazing experience truly;
How it must bring the greatest sense of joy infinitely.
That the Father loves the Son is easy to understand;
Jesus is Perfect in obedience in every circumstance.
But we are far from perfect but indeed most sinful;
Yet the Lord declares He loves us… how wonderful!
The challenge is to abide in the love of Jesus our Lord;
Then would there be fullness of joy and happy accord.
The problem is the fact we are not able to truly abide;
We go astray, and all too quickly, we sadly backslide.
If we wish to find a joy that would last a lifetime;
We will find it in the love of Jesus which is sublime.
The joy of knowing that we are so dearly loved by God;
This truth ought to bring us the deepest joy on record.
