THE TENDER MERCIES OF GOD
There are innumerable enemies in life;
They create so much tension and strife.
Evil will never depart from the world of men;
How we need the Lord to preserve us then!
There are also many sins in our life;
They are very real and they are rife.
Sins will also never go away from us;
How we need God’s lovingkindness!
The presence of Evil and Sin threaten;
We need much help from God in heaven.
We will need His power to come to our aid;
Without His grace we will surely be dead!
Thank God for His lovingkindness;
His tender mercies are truly precious!
How we need the Lord’s protection;
Let us seek His divine preservation.
