THE FEAR OF THE LORD

One of life’s lessons learned was “The fear of the LORD;”

And this can be mastered if we truly want to know God.

It is a basic truth that we must seek to master deeply;

It will teach us how to relate to God appropriately.

The fear of the LORD begins with knowledge;

How wonderful it is to have this privilege;

To know God must lead us to have a deep trust;

We can rely on the LORD’s faithfulness.

The fear of the LORD will affect the way we live;

It will teach us how to regard the blessings we receive.

We will learn how to regard our fellow-men;

There would be good respect for our brethren.

There would be no need to be gripped by fear;

The God-fearing would know that He is near.

There will be no lack of God’s blessings;

He would bestow on us truly good things.
