MAY THE LORD
Thank God for friends who are true and faithful;
They bring joy and they help make life meaningful.
What is the best present we can give in return?
It is to offer a prayer to the God of heaven.
May the LORD hear their prayers in times of need!
May they find comfort and consolation indeed!
May the LORD be their strong Defence!
There is truly no better ally or Friend!
May they find the LORD to be their sanctuary!
He will give them strength to face trials boldly.
May the LORD receive their offerings!
And give to them a very special blessing.
How our hearts must be thankful for loyal friends;
They may be trusted to stay to the very end.
These are friends for whom we must pray;
May the LORD always be their Hope and Stay!
